• The Crucial Cs are an Adlerian construct developed by Amy Lew and Betty Lou Bettner that makes Adler’s theory of personality development and behavior easy to understand and apply across the lifespan. These lunchtime discussions will cover childhood/personality development, adulthood/the life tasks, ruptures in our life which upend our Crucial Cs and aging.
About the presenter:
• Amy Lew, PhD, has been teaching Adlerian theory and practice internationally for over 48 years. She works with individuals, families, and couples via video conference. Amy has coauthored 5 books for parents, teachers and couples which have been translated into 6 languages. She has written numerous articles and book chapters on Adlerian Psychology. She is on the editorial board of The Journal of Individual Psychology (JIP) and The Family Journal: Counseling and Therapy for Couples and Families. Amy also guest edited a special issue of the JIP on the Crucial Cs. She is currently on the faculty of the International Committee of Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes (ICASSI). Amy is especially known for developing the Adlerian construct of the Crucial Cs and the Connexions Focusing Technique for Understanding Early Recollections.
