Superheroes invoke fond memories of watching blockbuster movies or reading comic books at your local barber shop, images of spandex costumes and witty phrases, and adventures and storylines centered around saving the world.  However, these stories, memories, and metaphors can be used to better understand clients and the world through the use of Adler’s ideas and Individual Psychology.  This presentation will explore the usefulness of these stories and resources, discuss interventions aimed at promoting social interest and movement toward one’s goals, and apply Adlerian theory to the concepts of superheroes, their fandoms, and the associated pop culture phenomena.
