The Adlerian Network Monthly Meeting

"Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" ~Dr. Suess

Alfred Adler focused on strengths and movement, and positive thinking.  Individuals focused on the Work Life Task may struggle with how to find their career pathway. Many in job transition or discovery struggle with self-esteem, barriers and not knowing where and how to start.  The purpose of this presentation is to address the struggles and what can be done to break through and find one's "sweet spot."

Goals/Objectives of the Presentation:

1 "What will I be when I grow up?" is a common theme that individuals may struggle with.  This presentation will address some ways to overcome feelings of overwhelm and negative thinking when faced with this question.

2 Focus on strengths to strategize possibilities.

3 Understanding that Careers are not straight lines, nor is life!

Presenter Esther Hollander Felsen is a Career Counselor and Certified Gallup Clifton Strengths coach with a Master's degree in Adlerian Psychology in Management Consulting and Organizational Leadership.  She is experienced in the private, government, and nonprofit sectors working as an entrepreneur, program manager, corporate recruiter, workshop facilitator, and coach.  She is passionate about career counseling.  When working with clients, Esther stresses the importance of  understanding that knowing one's best fit in a job allows for long term personal and employment satisfaction, along with opportunities for training and growth to consider one's options and aim for their goals.
