Meg Williams, PhD, LMFT-S, MCLC will present “The 3 A's: 
Adlerian, Attachment, & Adoption”

November is adoption awareness month.  In this presentation, Dr. Meg will discuss her dissertation research on Adlerian attachment concepts in children's books on adoption.  Dr. Meg will briefly discuss the history and types of adoptions in the US, history and types of attachment patterns, the Adlerian concepts of safety, significance, belonging, and the 4 Crucial Cs and importance of these concepts for adopted children to hear.  There will also be an interactive portion to the presentation involving the reading of some popular children's books on adoption and the opportunity for the participants to identify Adlerian attachment concepts.
