Faculty Position Announcement

 

THE ADLER SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY : announces openings for FULL TIME CORE FACULTY.  Position includes teaching in the clinical psychology doctoral and master’s in counseling psychology programs, providing clinical supervision to students in a community mental health center affiliated with the school, chairing dissertations, and providing strong mentorship to students.  Candidates with particular interest and expertise in the areas of individual and cultural diversity, career counseling, administrative and management applications of psychology, community mental health, forensics, organizational psychology, child/adolescent, social change and advocacy, art therapy, psychodynamic and humanistic theory, and consultation/supervision will be given particular consideration.  Applicants must have a doctorate from an APA-accredited program, demonstrate a strong record of clinical experience, graduate level teaching and clinical training using the scholar-practitioner model, and scholarship/professional activity.

 

Clinical faculty are required to have an Illinois license or to be license-eligible.  A particular commitment of the School, rooted in Adler’s emphasis on social interest, is training psychologists to work with marginalized and underserved populations and who are committed to social justice.  Applicants with demonstrated experience reflecting a commitment to working with marginalized and underserved populations and in community settings are particularly sought.  In addition, the School is particularly committed to increasing the diversity of the faculty.
